Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

For the Sticky Hot Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

For the Creamy Jalapeño Ranch

  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 small jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro

For the Tacos

  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • Fresh cilantro (amount not given)
  • Lime wedges (amount not given)

Method

  1. Season and cook the chicken. Toss the chicken with the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until deeply golden and cooked through to 165°F.
  2. Make the sticky sauce. Lower the heat slightly. Add the butter and garlic to the skillet and cook for 20-30 seconds. Stir in the honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Let it bubble for 1-2 minutes until glossy and slightly thickened. Toss the chicken until every piece is coated.
  3. Mix the jalapeño ranch. Stir together the ranch, jalapeño, lime juice, and cilantro. Keep it slightly thick so the drizzle looks dramatic.
  4. Crisp the tacos. Add a little Monterey Jack cheese to one side of each tortilla, top with hot honey chicken, fold, and toast in a clean skillet for 1-2 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  5. Finish. Open each taco slightly and add shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion. Drizzle generously with the jalapeño ranch and finish with cilantro and a squeeze of lime.

Notes

  • The full ingredient list and method came from the TikTok caption. The post is a photo slideshow with a music track, so there was no narration to transcribe.
  • Servings and total time are not stated. The recipe makes 8 tacos (from the 8 tortillas). Stated cook times are 6-8 min for the chicken, about 2 min for the sauce, and 2-4 min per batch of tacos, plus prep.
  • Amounts for the cilantro garnish and lime wedges are not given.
  • Hot sauce type or brand is not specified.
  • Uses two skillets (a clean one for crisping the tacos), so it is not tagged One Pan.
  • Family food check: no shellfish, oyster sauce, shrimp paste, fish sauce, fish, Worcestershire, or green bell peppers. The jalapeño is a green chile, not a bell pepper.
